Vienna Teng – Passage Lyrics 13 years ago
"When I saw Vienna in LA, she performed Passage, and as is custom she explained the ideology behind its creation. She said Passage came about while traveling the US on tour and noticing the broken twisted rails, black skid marks and tiny crosses that criss cross the highways. Remnants of auto accidents and realized that those accidents effect those directly involved, but their loved ones as well. Good luck with the memories."

Evanescence – Lies Lyrics 16 years ago
Sorry for any grammar mistakes.

I'm not a fan but I love Evanescence songs. :) I'm christian in worst option for most people - catholic. But you cannot find me at church in any sunday, I'm from many years more like "I love God but I don't need mediators to talk with Him". OK, back to topic. Next are my speculations, don't kill me for that. They started at christian label but they don't wanted to be identified like strictly christian band (playing on tour only on christian festivals in USA, zero other festivals and normal band shows in USA, Europe and other countries - isn't like that?). So people from that label kick off Evanescence. Typical religion (especially catholic) stuff - you don't like us (don't wanna be with us), we don't like you (and I don't think personally that it's OK). But their songs written when they was at that label (and before they were signed) survive right?

These words below I founded from over 1600 comments for amazing and disturbing at the same time video for "Lies" on YT (someone used fragments from Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ"):

Arms outstretched...An open embrace upon a bleeding tree" - crucifiction reference
"Rest in me and I'll comfort you" (Matt 11:28)
"I have lived and I died for you" - another sacrifice reference
"Abide in me" (John 15:1ff)" - and I vow to you
I will never forsake you" (Deut. 31:6, Hebrews 13:5)

Now "Lies" words with that picture make more sense. Right?
