Hmm. There could be any number of interpretations for it really. Mines kind of confusing, but its how i saw it at a first glance of the lyrics. Soooooo, theres these two new kids in town. Boy and girl. best friends. They've moved to this new town because the went on a teen drug-fuelled killing spree, and are escaping the law. They make another friend, who has similar "interests" (most likely another girl)<-- this first part has nothing to do with the lyrics but it fits my interpretation :P They get invited to a popular kid's birthday party, so they can be "checked out" and analysed. Before they go, they take a load of mind and personality altering drugs, and arrive at the party, the girl in her "black and white dress". They've planned to murder everyone at the party because they are tired of judgement of how they dress/act. Their new friend (the other girl) see's the nastiest, bitchiest girl and says "stick it in the back of her head" ("it" could be any sharp weapon or blade). Because the narrator says "i think my friend said", this shows her mind is out of place from the drugs, she can't really remember anything clearly. The "two of them are sisters" line is also the other girl explaining who everyone is; everyone she wants dead. Considering "Im a murder tramp, birthday boy" is taken as an affectionnate banter towards her friend, a sort of inner joke the have. She only calls him "birthday boy" jokingly because they kill at birthday parties. He responds by describing how he's going to kill them, "bash them in". Again, here is the repetition of "i think he/she said." "We wished them all a happy birthday" is them not knowing who is who anymore, so each time they slaughter someone, the say happy birthday. The "kiss them all goodnight" could be literal, in some phsyco freaky act of kissing the dead ones. Now the main girl's black and white dress has become "black and red", soaked with blood. The boy then turns on the narrator (because of the drugs)and the other girl does the same. He chases the narrator to "her" room (In my guess she has found this amazing room and wanted to claim it as her own) he traps her in this room, and the other girl enters and says "don't forget the video" to the boy, and "don't forget to smile" to the main girl, because they are going to video themselves killing her, as well as the house of corpses. The boys says "You're a murder tramp, murder tramp." again, using the inner joke, the nicknames they have for each other. The main girl then whispers "You're a murder boy, birthday boy." Using affectionnate nicknames to cover her fear, and as her final words to him. :) sick, but i love it. |
