I'm not sure what the intended meaning of the song is, and even though I absolutely LOVE the sound/vibe of this tune, I don't play it often since it comes across to me as a huge lack of respect for our Veterans and others that selflessly fought for what we have now. So overall, I guess I would say that it symbolizes a newer generation that is self-centered and ungrateful... unless that was sarcastically the intent? |

I don't think the lyrics are "trying to cuss and see"..... I think they are "trying to cut some teeth"..... which matches more closely what this song is about, as it would refer to a youngster growing up. |

Interesting... I always interpreted the "we're finally on our own" line as meaning that given this incident, citizens can no longer rely on the government to keep them safe...so now we're on our own. |

In the "official" lyrics (and if you really listen to him singing it), it is the word "feet" sung in two syllables, like "fee-eet." The lyrics are not pee-pee. Sigh... |

I believe that he actually sings "feet" kind of broken into two syllables: fee- eet. So it makes perfect sense. :) |

I think it's all about his guitar. I've stolen/exchanged LOTS of glances with some nice pretty guitars up on the wall at the music store that I knew I couldn't afford. Why? Because as Josh sings, "Sometimes if you want them then you've got to"! How could I ever leave a shop like that without at least "looking" at them? haha! ;-) |

I think "Embassy" is correct on the wire albatross idea. I just found this reference on Wikipedia: Hood (vehicle), known as a 'bonnet' in British English, the hinged engine cover of a motor vehicle. So yes, I can totally picture a wire car antenna or some sort of home-made hood ornament resembling an albatross on the top of the car. :-) |

I just saw the Belvedere crystal line as pain, plain and simple. It would be excruciatingly painful to play the piano with crushed glass in your hands, don't you think so? |
