| I don't have the book to hand, but in one of The numerous Libertines biography's there is a quote from Pete about this song. If I remember correctly, he wrote it himself after attending a Cardiff (or possibly Swansea) footy match in Wales at which the local mob were popping E's after E's instead of getting beered up.
