It is a complete fallacy to think that just because the song is happy and hopeful, it must have a good message. He apparently didn't like people who believed in religion. Quite intolerant for a hippie (don't deny it, he was indeed a hippie). Also, only John Lennon could use a phrase like "brotherhood of man" in a song and get away with it. As a matter of fact, that whole stanza sounds like it's from "The Internationale".: Imagine no possessions I wonder if you can No need for greed or hunger A brotherhood of man Imagine all the people Sharing all the world It takes a simple mind not to see the agenda behind this song. Just because it's wrapped in a sugary little melody doesn't mean it's art, and it certainly doesn't mean it is true. |

Thank you for posting the real ones. What dumbass put up the ones on here? "Green, where the color should be"?! That doesn't make any sense. Could he even read? IT doesn't even sound like green! Incidentally, great song :) |
