Green Day – Platypus (I Hate You) Lyrics 16 years ago
The lyrics to this song make me laugh my ass off, and I dedicate it to an particular ex of mine. I don't think anyone here needs to speculate what it's about; it's pretty obvious. All that's left is to figure out who you personally think it's about, haha.

Metallica – Fixxxer Lyrics 16 years ago
One of my top favorite Metallica songs of all time. Simply fantastic. No matter how bad anybody thinks Reload is (I personally think it's a good album) they have to appreciate this song.

To agree with you on the whole live performance/crowd members pigs thing, before the song Trent usually says "You fucking pigs" and then during the breakdown he'll day "Come on, pigs!"

Nine Inch Nails – Eraser Lyrics 16 years ago
I know a lot of people view a lot of songs like this, but I view it as relating to addiction.
"Need you" - self explanatory.
"Dream you" - his mind focuses on feeding the addiction until he can actually do it.
"Find you" - discovers his addiction
"Taste you" - Satisfies his addiction
"Fuck you" - is sick of his addiction, or, alternatively, gets so much pleasure out of satisfying it that it's almost comparable to sex.
"Use you" - Using whatever he is addicted you.
"Scar you" - referring to himself and the effects of his addiction.
"Break you" - A desire to break the addiction.
"Lose me" - Losing himself in the depths of his addiction.
"Hate me" - Being hated or hating himself for what the addiction is doing to him.
"Smash me" - His life falling apart as a result of his addiction.
"Erase me" - Has finally grown sick of addiction, and just wants to be free of it.
"Kill me" - The only way to escape the addiction.

Of course this is just the way that I personally interpret this song, as I have a personal history of addiction. I view these lyrics as the thoughts cycling through an addict's head over the course of the addiction. Just my personal input.

Alice in Chains – Would? Lyrics 16 years ago
The way interpret this song is that it's about relapsing, and it causing conflict between you and someone close to you.

"Know me broken by my master" I see as a reference to being controlled by addiction.
"Into the flood again, same old trip it was back then" referring to the relapse.
"So I made a big mistake, try to see it once my way" referring to an argument with a friend or something along those lines, having to do with the relapse.
"Am I wrong? Have I run too far to get home? Have I gone and left you here alone?" I see this line as the person wondering if they're too far into their addiction to make any sort of change, and if it's too late to keep from alienating loved ones because of it.

Songs can be interpreted in vastly different ways by the listener; that's just the way I view it. Amazing song, very personal lyrics. I find myself identifying with them quite often; perhaps that's why I see it the way I do. R.I.P. Layne.
