I think that " And love can use a day of rest,before we both start falling apart" is relating to being worn down by a relentless "ticking" of time. I believe he's metaphorically referring to cherrishing a peacefull break, on a day expounded with excuses that validate a day without work: 1)Sunday- God's day, a day of rest,and rejuvination. 2)"Its raining on Sunday"- not only is it Sunday(time to rest) but it includes inclement weather! So enjoy your days, but LOVE and cherish your day's of PEACE with your companion. |
