It's just comfort for a friend, or maybe the writer himself. It's for someone who is feeling depressed and worried about his insignificance to the world. The writer is trying to say to this other person that he's not insignificant to them. |

I agree with the last comment. This doesn't appear to be written about a girl; there's just no hint of sexuality in the song to suggest it. I see it as a friend either feeling depressed or suffering from drug addiction, albeit the two tend to walk hand in hand. |
