Breathtaking. Have you noticed that if you allign the lyrics to the middle of the page, they form a heart-rate line? It may be a coincidence, but it IS perfect.

Tori Amos – Pancake Lyrics 15 years ago
oh i agree with you, but i would actually go even further and i would say that you could also associate one's relationship with one's relationship...i also have the idea that she is growing, she is realising how to go back to standing up for what she once believed in, to back to past certainties that she had now ignored for far too long, all for the sake of someone who now, at this moment in her life that means revelation and awakening, can only say 'I ordered you a pancake'. She is changing under the eyes of the person she loves/d and they have no awareness of it. It is time for moving on and reclaiming herself and her beliefs

i think that this song is particularly powerful and it has that kind of vibe that sends you spinning in an "of nothing else ******* matters" sensation. To me it's about new and raw fascination between two lovers that give it a go after they've known each other a long time but have never actually given in to that same temptation that draws them to each other. Awesome!

Wilco – You and I Lyrics 16 years ago
I think this song is actually about 2 people who don't really have as much a relationship per say, as some sort of deeper friendship that they cannot/will not turn into something else. - "I think we can take it
All the good with the bad
Make something that no one else has"

"We might be strangers
How ever close we get sometimes
Its like we never met" - it's like however they feel for each other, they never really make it "official" - they might as well be strangers.

I also believe the lyrics imply that one of them feels more than he lets the other know -
"I can't ever tell you're
The deepest well
I've ever fallen into" - for fear that the indefinite relationship that they do have will be put to an end.

That's my two cents
