I see where you're coming from, but they're not blaming the previous generation for everything, they're just saying not to blame "us", the youth of presence, for everything. You always here adults saying "damn kids these days, they're ruining our country" and shit like that. The Offspring is saying that everyone is to blame in someway, even themselves. For example: "Still our descendants will inherit OUR mistakes of today. They'll suffer just the same as we and never wonder why." = The next generation will have to deal with the mistakes of today made by us.
Also, I do agree with you on Bush, though. Everybody hates him and is angry about him going to Afgan, but what they fail to mention is that after 9/11, 80% of all Americans wanted to go to war... :P |

Dude, i can totally relate!! My dad also doesn't like his job cause he has to work with all these a-holes, but he works hard to support his family. I'm 17, and i'm also about to leave home for college. I also still love them, and i hope i can be as good of a parent and they were. ^_^

Can really relate to this song, definitely to the whole being so different part, and damn this is gunna hurt part, cause it did hurt, bad. Especially when I found out my little butterfly was cheating on me with a 37 year old man (she was 15 and I was 16), and cybering another dude the whole time we were dating, and we got really close too, ugh. But anyways, though it brings back really shitty memories, I still love it. ^_^ |
