Emilie Autumn – Ghost (Poem) Lyrics 16 years ago
It sounds to me like a woman who had an imaginary friend when she was younger, who just never went away. Now she's older and started courting, but would rather just stay with this "ghost," who she's known since childhood. The line "How many centuries since you've climbed a balcony" makes me think of Romeo and Juliet, so maybe she's thinking her friend has grown over time, becoming more like a man she'd want to marry, like Romeo. But at the same time she doesn't think any man could be that perfect, which is why she sometimes doubts him. "Or do you do this every night with someone else?"

Emilie Autumn – 306 Lyrics 16 years ago
I think the "If it was a game/ Why couldn't I play?" part means she tried to commit suicide with the other people that day, but was caught.
"I am the abandoner
But still I remain
And my frozen pulse quickens
As the black plot thickens" This gives us more reason to believe she didn't die. She was ready to abandon everyone she loved, but remains because somebody stopped her. Her frozen pulse is quickening because she had stopped breathing, but was brought back to consciousness. The black plot thickens because her life is still going on, like a dramatic story.
"I am still unidentified
Behind the cathedral
Is where my body hides
But I'm not inside" Meaning she's just that weird girl hanging around a graveyard. She isn't inside because she wishes she had died that day, and is basically an empty shell.
"I am still overglorified" meaning everyone thinks she's recovered from this depression, or whatever pushed her to want to commit suicide. She doesn't deserve this glory, though, because she's just hiding her feelings.
"Like the story I heard
A lifetime ago
Where a girl (and this is funny)
Took her life
And what she doesn't know
Is how long it takes for the water to rise
And the breath to stop fighting
And the cold to close her eyes" I'm guessing this is referring to her first failed suicide attempt. Note the present tense her, with the word "doesn't." When this is repeated at the end, the word turns to "didn't," past tense. Meaning she succeeded.

On a happier note, this is my favourite song.
