Oasis – Champagne Supernova Lyrics 15 years ago
I agree with the fact that this song has no meaning as a whole, but individual parts do.
For instance, I just randomly talked to this girl I havent seen in years. we were separated when I moved, and I hadnt talked to her since.

We were bullshitting for a minute, sharing stories of what's been happening since the old days, and this song came to my mind.

"How many special people change
How many lives are living strange
Where were you while we were getting high?"

"Some day you will find me
Caught beneath a landslide
In a champagne supernova in the sky"

Since then I've kinda wandered down a road i'm not to proud of looking back on it, while she seemingly is doing great. That conversation will be thought up every time I hear this song, and I feel those same lyrics cause a lot of other people in the same
situation to do the same.
All I can say is, job well done Noel - you bastard.

This song is about idolizing someone, or having a dream, then realizing you may never live up to your hero or accomplish your dream, but understanding that you'll never get anywhere if you don't atleast try to.
In this song, Noel is talking to 3 people:
his Mother
his Audience
and his Hero

"Maybe I don't really wanna' know how your garden grows"
Noel Gallagher's mother had a garden that she would tend to day after day after day, and her
garden symbolizes a dead end life, working 9-5 everyday with no dreams
of going anywhere. Noel follows that up with:

"Because I just wanna fly"
Noel doesn't want to hear about his mothers garden, or live her life, because he has a dream and he wants to "fly,"
or live out his dream and do something with his life.

The next part of the song, Noel is talking to his audience, and asking them a question.

"Lately, did you ever feel the pain? In the morning rain? As it soaks you to the bone?"
Basically what he's asking is, have you ever sat down and realized what he has realized? The morning rain symbolizes depression, or coming to a stunning conclusion
that maybe your life isn't going anywhere, and letting it all soak in.

"Well maybe I just wanna' fly, I wanna' live, I don't wanna' die"
Noel says that he doesn't want to live a dead end life, he wants to fly, and live out his dream.

"Maybe I just wanna' breath, but maybe I just don't believe"
Noel wants to live that dream, but he's saying he doesn't really believe that he can do it.

This part of the song, Noel is talking to his hero (John Lennon).

"Maybe you're the same as me, and we'll see things they'll never see"
Noel is relating himself to his hero, and saying that no one will ever understand how they both feel.

"You and I are gonna' live forever"
Methaphorically speaking, the things that Noel dreams of doing, and what his hero has done, are going to live on forever.

"Maybe I will never be all the things that I'd like to be"
speaks for itself.

"But now is not the time to cry, nows the time to find out why"
Nows not the time to soak in the morning rain, and fall into a dead end life, nows the time to realize your dream

"Maybe you're the same as me, we see things they'll never see. You and I are gonna Live Forever."

When Noel wrote this song, he was construction worker, living a verry dull and unfullfilling life. He saw how his family was, and what he was becoming, and he decided
to take a chance, and write a song like his hero John Lennon did. He decided to jump off the branch as birds do when they learn how to fly, obviously it worked for him.
Live Forever is a reminder to everyone who felt like him, that you just have to realize your dream, and take a chance at it, or else you'll be tending to a garden
day after day, with nothing to live for.
