this song is about when people judge you for who you are. like, why the fuck should i take your advice about looking after myself when you cant do so yourself. I won't justify the way I live my life 'cause I'm the one livin' it feelin' it, tastin' it and you're just wasting your time trying to throw me a line when you're the one drowning I like where I'm at on my back floating down in my own riptide the water is fine the chorus reflects the theme of the song- why do i need to justify my life to you. Im happy the way im doing it when all you do is talk shit and your wasting your time trying to help me when you cant even help yourself. i think this is another fantastic composition by the trio. gosh, i wish i could write/ play like they do! |

OMFG the opening bass riff is absolutely fantastic. Emma completely owns this song with that riff! the song is about how destructive society is upon itself. Its more or less about how we bring things upon ourselves. this is summed up in the chorus- weve been given answers, still were walking cancers, dressed up as life- its saying that all of us spread hatred/destruction like a disease, even though we know its wrong. the theme of the song surrounds this and suggests- what is the point in living this way when we are ruining life for ourselves? |

this is an AMAZING love song. the lyrics are basic and so simple to de-code. the song is about a struggling relationship and from the writers perspective, he is saying he doesnt give a damn what happens, he will always love this chick no matter who she is, what she does. Go ahead tell me you'll leave again You'll just come back running, Holding your scarred Heart in Hand Its all the same. these lines in the chorus suggest that the relationship often (or occasionally) dwindles, and that one of them is threatening to leave, but they will always come back, wishing their broken heart to be fixed. and when shim shouts 'go ahead say it, your leaving' its him trying to get the point across, saying like- cmon babe, why are we fighting? go ahead and leave but we both know youll b back soon. i love this song SO much. the band is amazing. I wish they would come back to Australia more often. |
