Pete Townshend – Nowhere to Run Lyrics

Really not sure, but the message of this pretty song sounds a bit like the writer, Ronnie Lane, was saying that one should accept the gift of the wind without thinking it must be used for anything and the person feels compelled to build a sail. Life is but a dream. If there's an impulse to run away from one's troubles, that is mistaken. There is nowhere to run because after the running, one will remain the same person, with the same unresolved issues, just in a different place. Therefore, make no sail for a gift of the wind; enjoy the gift. Drive is slow = take your time. Breathe. Live. Existence is an endless dream.
Anyway, I don't know. I just heard this song for the first time a little while ago. Peace. |

Bob Dylan – Never Gonna Be the Same Again Lyrics

I feel like it's a strong account of what happens when you love someone more than yourself, trusting them with your own life, your own reality.
It's a powerful song that affects people differently, but just about everyone, depending on their personality, could feel strong emotions from one of the stanzas. |

Grateful Dead – Like A Road Lyrics

It's about feelings like "I'll always be there for you" and "we'll be friends forever", stuff like that.
It's a beautiful song. I like the organ music on this song, Merl Saunders style, personally. |
