I actually thought it was about Janelle Hansen.

All Time Low – Return the Favor Lyrics 14 years ago
"Get back to old days and old flames."

"You're anything but ordinary."

"Did you forget what I said?"

"Train wreck, here we, here we go again."

"I put it on the line."

Am I the only one who thinks this is about Demi Lovato?

All Time Low – Heroes Lyrics 14 years ago
"Not gonna miss you when you're dead and gone
Not gonna talk about you over and over and over
Not gonna file you under latest nostalgia
Nor happily ever after

Not gonna listen to your played-out songs
(Played-out songs)
Don't wanna think about you over and over and over
Not gonna read about the latest fads on your trending blog
I want nothing to do with that

'Cause you've made a mess of everything
(And I'm not listening)"

So basically he's talking about bands that have "sold out" and how he's not going to listen to them or what they have to say because they "sold out".

"You're not a hero
You're a liar
You're not a savior
You're a vampire
Sucking the life out of all the friends you've never known
You're just a train wreck
Not a winner
Up on your soapbox, preaching down to the sinners
A saint without a cause
We're not listening"

He's probably trying to say the "sell outs" are the people they present themselves to be and they're, in fact, sell outs.

"I'm gonna start a revolution
Of convoluted disillusion
(Start a revolution)
I'll lead a war with no conclusion
And in the final hour, I'll be a confident coward"

I think now he's talking about wanting to change the industry and failing to do so.

"Cause if we stand for nothing, we'll fall for anything"

He's trying to say that the band has to stand for what they believe in or they'll fall in between the cracks.

"They're gonna miss me when I'm dead and gone
They're gonna talk about me over and over and over
They're gonna file me under latest nostalgia
And happily ever after"

I think he's implying that he thinks he's better or different than the others.

"I'm not a hero
I'm a liar
I'm not a savior
I'm a vampire
Sucking the life out of all the friends I've never known
We're a train wreck
Not winners
On a soapbox, preaching down to the sinners
Saints without a cause
We're not listening"

Then he turns the finger back to him/the band. I think he might be mocking the people who've hated on them for "selling out". It lies somewhere in between sarcasm and the truth, I think.

Well, according to Alex the line is,

"Is it real, or is it fake?"

Boys Like Girls – She's Got a Boyfriend Now Lyrics 16 years ago
In an interview, Martin says the idea of the song was basically how he could never keep a girl because of his being on the road most of the time. Each verse was about a different relationships he had that ended miserably. He goes on to say that the first verse was about his high school girlfriend.

In my opinion, the second verse ties back to Heels Over Head from the first record. There are some similarities between the two situations.

She's Got A Boyfriend Now/Heels Over Head:

Then I took a trip out to LA, For a girl with a smile that could take your breath away/I've got your runaway smile in my piggy back baby, gonna cash it right in for a new Mercedes
(Both state how amazing her smile is.)

She's on the west coast, and I'm on some back road/Thinkin' how you left me for dead California bound
(Both say that she's in California.)

There's a lot of ties. That just my personal opinion. On a completely random note, I saw them in concert yesterday. I accidentally touched Martin's ass.
