The first lines of this song, along with the title remind me of "A song of ice and fire" a lot. And as somebody said, the writer likes to make literate references.
Some parts of the song go along with the book: the mad king with voices whispering in his ears burn it all, he wanted to burn the whole town (which is built on three hills, or mountains). Also he used a napalm olike substance called wildfire to do so. (Or planned to). And the reason he was dethroned was (at least partly) some crimes by his son. |

Well I have an idea what Blaubeermund means:
There exists an German poen, named "Erdbeermund" (which means Strawberry Mouth in English). Erdbeermund is a paraphrase for a womans lips, but not the ones in her face, if you understand ^^.
I think Blaubeermund means the same, but for a dead person, because the lips of dead people turn blue.
Also this would fit the interpretation, of a necrophilic who works in a mortuary and who "loves" a dead woman there. |

I think this song is about individualists, and how they are not accepted in the public. I think the song says: Life youtr own style, no matter what the others say, no matter if most people are of other opinion, no matter if "your voice would would be louder in chorus (von zeit zu zeit doch kann das stimmlein, auch mal viel zu leise sein, drum kleines stimmlein stell dir vor, kraeftiger waerst du im chor.) I think it also says, that each ones opinion is worthy, that everyone has the right to life his life the way he wants. (es liegt doch einer jeden stimme, ein einzigartig klang wohl inne, jedes antlitz auf der welt, verdient dass es als einzig zaehlt) |

I think this Song is about Pop music and about many bands exist just to earn money. I think it means sometzhing liek: You earn much money if you just produce mainstream music, and that this sort of music is often produced for money, and not because you want to express something with it. |

I'm quite sure, the original is by Rednex, andalso that there exists a cover version by Blackmore's Night. I've never heard of Within temptation covering this song, but in the www you often find som wrong tagged songs. |
