| A Skylit Drive – My Disease Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I always got a sense of foolish pride from the song. "It's exactly what it seems. The horror I live, the evil that beats inside me. It's called: my disease." When the last sentence is sung, or said period it seems sarcastic, and/or cocky instead of informative. As if to say, "Yes, I do this to people. What of it?" Love the song though. Makes meh feel all tingleh inside and what-not. |

| Kill Hannah – Lips Like Morphine Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I love Kill Hannah with a passion. They always say things in such a subtly obscene way. It always drives me insane when I listen to their music. And who doesn't want a girl with lips like morphine? (At least in the way it's used in this song. Ha, ha.) | |
| My American Heart – Speak Low If You Speak Love Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I don't understand why everything in the world has to be Romeo and Juliet style. I mean... The song has hints of anger/regret/jealousy in it. Not just in the lyrics, but in the music itself, and his voice. I think it's about being with someone who's ashamed of you. Those god damn kids got nothin' on me. Meaning that they don't have anything I don't, so why be ashamed of who I am? 'Cause I know who I am. Do you know who I am? Well I know who I am, and you'll never know who I am. Also supports that. He sounds cocky when he sings that part. As if he's calling her out. Saying to the world that she was in love with him, there is no reason to hate her for it. If you do, oh well. And that because she was ashamed, now even if she's not she's not getting a chance to hold his heart. (Because people are dumb sometimes. Him refers to the perspective of the song, not the person who wrote, or is singing it.) I don't know, that's just what I got/get from the song. | |
| Motion City Soundtrack – Capital H Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I like under the powers of an evil dr. whack-ah-taz monster with capabilities to destroy the entire universe better... My friend sang it like that before he knew the real words, and we liked it better. It's more... crazy and eccentric. Also, I love this song, and Motion City Soundtrack with a passion. Alongside Weezer, Blink 182, Rise Against, and Mayday Parade they are the only five that have never been moved on my favorite list. They have been top five since I've found them, and they will remain that way forever. Music, for the win. | |
| Taking Back Sunday – You Know How I Do Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Really? All of my friends, and myself think it's about manipulation. Here's what we think: That it's about a cocky guy dating a girl, and they're both manipulators. We're both such magnificent liars So crush me baby, I'm all ears I'll give in one more time and feed you Stupid lines all about "it's basic" Willing and waiting to prove the worst of everything you said about So obviously desperate, so desperately obvious So good at setting bad examples Listen, trick, I've had all I can handle Things like this wreak of sarcasm and cockiness. Since there isn't really a sense of loss, the guy was the better manipulator. After he got bored with her not being able to keep up, kicked her aside. We won't stand for hazy eyes anymore. Obviously drug related. The part at the end suggests that he was a bit upset about her not being able to keep up with his talents in psychological warfare because he actually felt something for the girl. We won't stand for them because the unfulfilled feelings overwhelm, he's become motivated to find someone that he'll become just as fond of, and can present a challenge. Nobody is wrong about what any form of art means. The point of art is for people to walk away with different impacts made. |
