| This album is so good that it physically hurts. | |

No doubt. This is one of those few songs that transports you immediately, no matter your current situation or place. I've been in the car with a bunch of people and this song came on, and everybody is quiet and reflective the entire song. Beautiful. |

| I always thought he says "You're short on long term goals." I love that line. | |

| The Tallest Man on Earth – The Wild Hunt Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I feel like this song is one giant riddle. And I can't figure it out. I've been thinking maybe its Life? Or the mother earth/nature? The crow moon is considered by the Native Americans the last full moon of March (according to the Farmer's Almanac). This typically signifies the end of winter and thawing of the earth as the temperatures rise. So then maybe the phenomenon's being brought out in the darkness is the grass , and plants, etc. Spurred on by the heroine "light." And then the spring and storms are obvious. I just can't seem to make this connection with the rest of the stanzas other than its very season oriented with "him" leaving in the Fall. Nor have I been able to connect it to the hunt. Anybody think I'm headed in the right direction? |

| Titus Andronicus – The Battle of Hampton Roads Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I think that one line that you're unsure of is "after deep cups of patience when drunk to the dregs." Like the dregs of a bottle or glass. Amazing song. Really haunting and tortured though. |

I think you nailed it Scott. Personally, I think the last 2 lines would suggest a breakup. I feel like "I did it for us" would've had the opposite meaning, but the fact he distinguishes "you" and "me" separately shows they separated. I'm just hung up on that line "i proved what our love meant to me." Could go either way. And I'm wondering if halloween has any significance in that stanza other than literally. |

God damn this describes my everyday life. All the way down to the NPR and sunni bombings. In any case, I like the sense of hope the last line in this song gives. Since it's semi-dismal up until that point. Kinda saying you never truly know when its good unless you experience the bad. And its catchy as hell! Can't stop singing the "doo doo doo doo doo doo" part. |

| Dirty Projectors – Useful Chamber Lyrics | 16 years ago |

I don't mean to come off immature, but considering how crazy some of the lyrics in the Dirty Projector's songs tend to be, I was wondering if there was any relevance. I'm assuming not, but I thought it was a funny coincedence nonetheless. Bitte Orca, Orca Bitte --> B O O B I thought I was ridiculous and immature for even noticing that, but then I futher noticed the lyrics surrounding it. I don't know what I should be looking at, but I'll look wherever I'm told Bitte Orca, Orca Bitte Catch me when I lose control, Look into my eyes, I'm caught up in a storm Bitte Orca, Orca Bitte And the line "Rosette in a snow globe." Well, just look up what a rosette is on wikipedia. Maybe David Longstreth just wrote a song about boobs. I'm tyring to make sense of the title in this aspect though. Say what you want, it was just a stupid thing I noticed. For the record, this is my favorite album of the year and I hope I haven't ruined the song for anyone. |
