It definitely has to do with the loss of a maternal figure and how a "she" and a "he" react to it. While she grieves by remembering the good lessons mamma taught her, he accepts it by just convincing himself that mamma has just gone somewhere else. But it could also be about a girl blaming his boyfriend for her mamma's death, possibly for not being able to represent what mamma had wished for her daughter. Regardless, very nice song indeed |
