| i kind of agree with that. i think it is about about sin but more about reconciling them with yourself and learning to move on in a more positive direction. not specifically reconciling them in christianity, just cause there are no obvious references to christianity, and because the band isnt a christian band (which the band themselves have stated). either way this song kicksass!!! first of all, no offense, but that is just not very good history concerning Jefferson. Jefferson didnt rewrite the bible so it didnt make any reference to sin. He took the Gospels and took out any reference to any miracles or "magical" events, and called it "The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth." It kept all of the parables and sayings however and certainly didnt take out any reference of sin. now about the song i agree with the first post. its definitely about questioning organized religion and finding Jesus elsewere than the church. thats just obvious. (also on a side note, if there is a God and he would condemn you to hell for smoking pot, then Gods a prick) |
