Did you leave out the minor detail that Courtney Love was in LA on tour when he died? The night he died (as estimated by the coronor) she was infact being hospitalized for a possible drug overdose. Get your story straight before you start with this conspiracy nonsense. She may very well have planned it, but it could also be that he shot himself. Ever think of that? I mean, if you had a kid with Courtney Love because you were all fucked up on drugs... then you went to rehab and sobered up... wouldn't you fucking shoot yourself once you realized what you'd done in your drug induced daze????? |

I think in general, this song is about loving some one who is truly out of your league. I mean, we can't help who we have feelings for, right? However, if that person is some holier than thou jack ass then we are left feeling stupid for even having these feelings. Yet, even though we know how they respond, we continue to have feelins for them, as if there was nothing we could do about it. Eventually we would end up feeling like some kind of creep for even thinking about them in that way because they obviously will never feel the same way. I saw a video posted on youtube with Johnny Depp and some chick with this song. I think it was a perfect explanation for what this song means, but I think it was the girl in the video feeling these things for him, not vece versa. |

When she says "found you returning to the house you caught fire" she means that the relationship is over (because he screwed it up) and he is trying to come back. Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz has dropped the bombshell that he tried to commit suicide a few years ago.
The bassist revealed that he was mentally out of control at the time and he was close to taking his life by taking an overdose of an anti-anxiety prescription drug called Ativan.
He told MTV: "I got in my car. I remember I was listening to Jeff Buckley doing Leonard Cohen's ‘Hallelujah’ and sat there and took a bunch of Ativan in a Best Buy parking lot.
“I called up my manager because I was, at that point, completely out of my head with Ativan. And I was talking to him and I was slurring my words, so he called my mom and my mom called me and she came and got me and we went to the hospital."
Fortunately Pete recovered from the bout of depression and went on to become a multi-million selling rock star and date Ashlee Simpson.

Obviously this song is about a relationship that he knew was damned from the get go. He thought that he could just overlook the bad parts and everything would be ok, but he finds out he was wrong. (It's all in the way we knew that we could have it all, some satellites of pain can't always be ignored,When he says "Keep on driving, hair left morning wet there's nothing like losing you", What he means is that that person will affect him forever. When you wash your hair in the morning, you would expect that it would dry and you wouldn't give it a second thought. However, He is saying that at the end of the day, his "hair" is still just as "wet" as it was in the morning. IE, The affects of this relationship are still as fresh in his mind as when they were new. |
