I think there approach for both Get Out and Imaginary Enemy are more direct and are definitely easier to understand after listening to it the first time. I hope there is still more mystery in Blue Sky Noise; that's one of the reasons why I love the other two albums. Not to mention the artwork is amazing. I like the two new songs which is definitely a different approach from any previous song they've done. But I definitely understand where you're coming from bmesick. :D |

For the first time with a Circa Survive song, my "own" interpretation of their music is surrounding a past love interest of some sort, or the feeling associated with it. At least that's what I'm leaning to. And of course at this current time I feeling "puppy love" so that might explain much about how I feel about it. I love the song; the lyrics are very simple but they're so deep.
At first I was thinking about Eternal Sunshine, but then I also remember Green talking about the creek behind their new home which he hopes inspires their song writing. Either way, it produced something that I can't wait to hear on the new album. |
