("Have you ever buried your face in your hands/ Cause no one around you understands/ Or has the slightest idea what it is that makes you be." my social worker came to my house because i was truent, (yeah imma get in detail) and i have big social/political issues...im not a social dull or anything, i have friends and i socialize, but she kept asking, "Why don't you go to school?" So i tell her like it is, "I just feel angry and frustrated. I can't sit here and do this...i can't deal with the ignorant ass people! They are the reason i don't go...not just students, it's everyone! They all disgust me, its like people have this self sense of pride that "they are the best" or "im better cuz im black/white/asian/jock/goth/emo/prep." and it frustrates me to the core." Her response is "Well will you do with out an education? You have to deal with people you dont like your whole life." My response-------------------------------------------------Â --->"The question is always "what will i do?" Why isn't it ever about who i am or what i want or how i feel. All i could think of was this song escpecially this lyric.) "Have you ever felt like there was more Like someone else was keeping score And what could make you whole was simply out of reach" This touches down on my political issues....i feel like a puppet. All i see poverty, death, and hate. The government start wars (Like someone else was keeping score.) and sends you, or your brother, or your dad, or cousin, or whoever to kill in the name of these assholes who are on their way to the bank to cash that million dollar check while people like my brother are in a wasteland worried about weather the car ahead is just a car or an ambush. I can't do anything and i know if i want to live long and not starve or die or anything...i have to conform to the world i have come to hate...to befrend my own worst enemy. I can't do anything about it its out of reach.(And what could make you whole was simply out of reach) **Whew** that was fun kiddos! please take this view on the song to heart because this band has wisdom in their lyrics. While im at it i will say this: Don't be hateful to your fellow man...we are all here and have to face the same trials (mostly) so there is no reason to think you are better than another...because the truth is...we are all the same. This song is blunt with no hidden meaning. When you were six suicide or drugs werent even in your vocabulary so it's just growing up, seeing and hearing shit that is depressing or what have you. "Longing for used to be." <---says it all not my fav but like 2# fuck yeah btw #1 is gone away.....look into it |
