let me start off by saying that i adore green river ordinance . and this song? SO catchy ! i think the lyrics are pretty self explanatory... just about a guy wanted to go back in time to everything that was so good in his life (with his girlfriend?). he doesnt like the changes, and everyone pretending that nothing has changed.

i love the guitar and the rhythm in this song...i dont know what you guys are talking about with the whole "it sounds like the backstreet boys" thing, i dont think those two bands could even be compared...
anyway. yeah, the lyrics aren't too hard to figure out. the girl that the guy is with thinks that she can just toss him around and treat him like dirt, and that he'll just keep on coming back. eventually the guy is fed up with that, and decides to leave her. but now that he's gone, the girl wants him even more (you want want you can't have, its true..) |

yeah, its definitely "thighs."
and i love this song so much, it just has an incredible sound, and reminds of their "songs about jane" days...i basically just think that this song is about a guy (adam?) thats hung up over a girl that has moved on (she possibly led him on or tricked him, because of the line "you got me completely, in my own game you beat me...or she might have left him because adam didnt want anything serious: "now i've got my freedom, don't i?"). he continues to wait for her, only the more he waits, the more he realizes he's waiting for a girl that, truthfully, he hardly even recognizes anymore. and now he's wrapped up in his own solitude, thinking he's lost his mind for falling so hard for this girl.
