| Spoon has been known to write lyrics about drugs, especially concerning cannabis usage. The time 10:20 is as far away from 4:20 that you can get, being 6 hours away from both 4:20 AM and 4:20 PM. I think this song is about Britt Daniel's pining for that feeling that he cherishes, which is symbolically out-of-reach. I don't necessarily think that Britt is a daily stoner, but he often writes subtle lyrics with the intention of enabling particular groups of people to easily identify with his message. | |
