But Ke$ha deff. has as much talent and possibility to rise to the top like Gaga did. She's got that same type of music that's blowing up the airwaves. I love Taylor and especially this song. She is the ONLY artist out there right now that is telling girls "Hold onto yourself!" ... all the other artists out there promote being slutty and giving your first sexual expierences away to boys while you are drunk and high. This whole song is about being in high school and holding onto yourself, being secure with who you are, and NOT needing a guy to reassure you of your own self-worth. When ever I feel this song it makes me proud to be a girl. We all need to support each other without needing men. My favorite line in this song is "When all you wanted was to be wanted" ... it basically sums up being an American teenage girl. I'm 16 right now and Taylor helps me be okay with who I am. |
