This songs all about the many goals we set in our minds that don't complete because we forget. Then when we actually try to complete these goals, whether its soon or we wait so long, we try and try just to realize that maybe it was just better the way it was but its too late. It's not all lost though because we learned from setting those goals and setting up the path to try to complete the goal. It's a positve song about finding who you are from trial and error. It's life.
Also I like the metaphor of smoking, if ace is talking about cigarettes. If anyones ever been addicted they hate it and its about the process "setting a course" of quitting and wanting to change your habbits. Not saying that everything is better the way it was |
