I think the girl came to that guy with some heartbreak problems and stayed for the night, but in the morning realized it was a mistake and left before he awoke, so she is a "ghost" to him now. Some time passes and the guy fights with his thoughts and feelings about what happened. The chorus is I think what he said to her when she came. He realizes that she could be just using him to feel better, and he could be just taking advantage of her state. He wonders it it's ok if they both realize this, or if there was something more to that. He is unhappy about this situation, as it's not the perfect way to start something. Later on the girl comes back and says that maybe after all the two of them can work (she had the same thoughts), but asks him to go slow, and maybe, just maybe he wont turn out like her ex. |
