SO...I just barely discovered this song about a day ago. And I absolutely adore it. In the beginning of the song, you do hear a scream and water and stuff...But I think it's kids outside playing in a pool. Maybe of the hotel or something where the killers and the victim are at. I kind of think of Natural Born Killers when I hear this song. Mickey and Mallory...When he talks about the Sunday paper, in the movie all the killing they did got them alot of fame and on the cover of every other papare and magazine. When he talks says, "if I didnt act on your addictions, then we couldn't stare while she's in her underwear" That's mickey or mallory saying to the other, if we didn't have each other, I wouldn't do this. It's such an eerie song.. but one of Sugarcults best. |

This song is awesome...I agree...It's just about you giving your life to God...And letting him break you from what your doing now...Letting him work in you and making you more like him and using you as a vessel. This song makes me happy..It's exactly what I need to hear when I lose my way from God...And it's not like other christian songs...It's easier to minister to someone who isn't all that much into their faith with this song... It's a great song of worship..Just done in a different way...I love FF5 for that.. |

I actually read that this song was about preventing suicide... But I don't know...I can see how it would be... But then I also read that for this song, they'd like you not to dig too much into the meaning with this one..It's just a fun dance song to groove too and enjoy... |

This song reminds me of the book "Dear John"...If anyone has read it, it's kinda like this...*spoiler alert* haha... John always knew that Tim---I think his name was---had a thing for Savannah...And I think he even voiced it once and she said That they were best friends and she saw him as a brother... However when John and Savannah had their moment when things weren't working out...Tim was there for her and one event led to another and they fell in love...And she broke up with John and pretty much left him heartbroken...Way across the DAMN world! Ugh.. I love this song...but when I think of that story it pisses me off....haha |

I absolutely adore this song...It stirrs so many feelings in me that I can barely listen to it without wanting to start crying. I love what everyone has to say.. I just think that he loves this girl..and for whatever reason they don't see eye to eye...He made her this mix to let her know how she makes him feel..He could never put into words of his own so he lets the music speak for him. When you start the day Just to close the curtains You're thinking 'bout what I've given up (I think this line is my fave..Because I think he's saying that maybe she just doesn't do much of anything...She's depressed all the time and he knows that...Because he was the one that probably ended things...He gave up on them) As we rearrange these songs again This mix could burn a hole in anyone (I always thought he said "As 'I' rearrange" but nonetheless... I like that he's saying...No matter how I arrange this, anyone would feel the weight of what i'm trying to say...but it's not for them...I made this for you...) ( I feel like with this line he means, mentally..He is blocked off from her mentally...Maybe she is not understanding the way he feels...Because she is hurting...And only feels her own pain...and not his regret...and when he says "Where are you now" he means in your head and heart...What's up with you? Why aren't you recieving me?) As I'm cutting through you track by track I swear to god this mix could sink the sun But it was you I was thinking of (I feel like he's saying the same thing as before, but somehow he's more intense somehow...because when someone says, "I swear to God" It usually means business..There is impact in those words..) This is my mixed tape for her Its like I wrote every note with my own fingers (I love this line so much...because he is saying...I did this for you...and I couldn't have done it better if I tried....) |

I like everyone's ideas...Especially Hollyanndavids idea.. But I was thinking what if it's about leaving Boulder to persue other things... "Go ahead and burn it down..." When your drunk you don't really care about much..and things you love you'll talk shit if it helps you deal with something... "I'm drunk and so is everyone else in this devil town" Again drunk, and talking shit "They won't let me turn around and get one last look at my baby...While she's still around" I think he's talking about Colorado in loving terms...They won't let him turn around and try to stay and not pursue other things...They love Colorado and have so much love for where they are from...I think maybe they are talking about this in this song.. and i know what your thinkin but that wont stop this drinking its the least i can do cuz this life is anything but certain when they close the final curtain youll get a glimpse of the truth cuz your... still around I think he's saying...you'll get to figure out what i'm saying because you'll still be here and i won't..you'll understand what I mean one day... ****Just a thought..not sure if it's right... |
