to me, there is alot of symbolism in the title alone. white as a colour symbolizes innocence, and the coat could be the sheild she puts up to repress whats really happening to her. maybe she feels like people can see right through her and the coat is an obvious way of covering that up. underneath that coat is her real body... i dont know, just some thoughts. conor oberst has a great way of using symbolism. im so glad he was born |
