i totally agree, except i think it's about leaving someone you truly love but can't chose you over drugs, it could be because i'm totally bias but the song made the most sense to me when i realized i had to leave my whole life and the woman i loved most in the world, it broke me in half, but i had to leave... i prayed so hard she'd come with me and be strong for me but ultimately i guess she didn't love me enough and it hurt like hell i i had to go, she cried and i left, she called and i offered her a ticket to follow but she was scared and weak, i cried but tears change nothing you can only save those who want salvation. again this is my opinion, i won't preach it as the gospel truth |

the song for me is about shedding social camouflage and embracing our true nature in order to find true happiness with in us, we all might strive to keep attain material things to try to be cool and gain image in hope of finding acceptance and happiness but in reality we only become slaves to our egos in the long run.... so he feels the answer is in the simple joys of life and never giving up the dream he then realizes how sad it is to go on living in pretense after having found the light and he is trying to show his friends still left in darkness the joys in the simplicity of just being your self and living life the way that makes you happy free of social and self inflicted slavery to image and materialism sounds right? |
