He not only write songs about what he went thourgh pesonally. he wrote about "characters" in real situation and he wrote like he almost was that person BEN FOLDS FOREVER

I'm telling you this is the best love song on the face of the earth. This is truly the best ben folds song EVER!!!!!!!! it describes so much in so many ways. that part with the bike makes me cry every time. it is more of a description of love itself than a unique scenario which some song writers write about. This is one of the many songs that shows ben folds is a musical GENIUS!

This song basically is saying how its kinda hard to recover after a break up. Ben (who by the way is a genius songwriter) wrote this by meaning that it takes a long time to get over someone that breaks up with you suddenly and for no apperant reason. This song really brings me to tears because the hypotheical scenario in this song has happened to me before so this song will really help someone who has recently has had there heart broken.
