First off if you listen to the intro closely he screams: Why Won't it stop? Why Won't it stop? Why Won't it stop! Anyways I think the Angel was put on a sort of trial. The people at the trial (what I think to be the Vampire's clan/coven) are yelling for her wings to be cut off as punishment, possibly a punishment to the Vampire for loving someone he can't have. He's spared from a punishment so in a way he is a "Dead man walking free." Maybe this is referred to in "Beyond The Hourglass" when the latin line at the end say "The guilty man to be judged, Spare him." I also think the Angel was bitten by the Vampire because of the line "The blood we shared... The love we cannot let go. (I have you now!)" I also think she's a sort of "Angelic Vampire" if that makes any sense to you guys/gals. I mean She still has her beautiful eyes and wings after all. This was one of the first IAG songs I heard, I still love it. |

For those of you who are wondering those words at the end, I've listened to it at least 100 times checking this: Isn't this what you dreamed about Isn't this what you think about Taste from my lips and tongue We Kissed Delicately sketched for seconds As we fly past Like snowflakes of a lost bliss We drift like the melodies Isn't this what you dreamed about? You want it? So be it. Also this song being the original intro to "Pretty People Never Lie / Vampires Really Never Die" I would think it has something to do with that song. I just don't know how to connect them... |
