I think you are spot on with it being about a coma though - I appeneded my comment to reflect that. |

Ok, I was reading some of the other interpretations and now I'm convinced its about someone in a coma. Especially after watching the video, which is very surreal and has a repetition theme like something caught in an endless cycle. The music has that same feeling like a record track that keeps skipping. The 1st verse is about being near death and being pulled back into a comatose state. The 2nd verse is about being kept alive through life support as time passes while the mind is trapped uncontious between life and death. |

I think this song is about manic depression. One minute everything is euphoric and extreme with so much feeling, then you're pulled back into a depression that you can't break free from. I absolutley love this album but honestly, if you listen to the lyrics in juxtaposition to the music the whole thing sounds kind of bipolar. The music and the lyrics to many of the songs are a stark contrast. The light and upbeat sounds of the Little Secrets track compared to the dark lyrics of a battle (or submission) to a heroin addiction. I think its all brilliant. I hope the songwriters aren't singing from experience though because it seems tragic. |
