Very sweet and beautiful imagery, as any true visual artist would invoke <3. Anyway, my interpretation of these lyrics is that religion can be deceiving-it can set a trap that one can easily be lured into--but the narrator in this situation hopes to regain his freedom. Gavin, keep the emotion going--don't EVER stop being intriguing. :) |

This song is NOT cheesy (IMHO), but I see it as a self-analytical piece, raising questions of "Where did we come from?" or "Why are we here?" and so on and so forth... |

Wow...it's evident he and his father never really had a very rocky relationship..but I think I can see the bi-polar disorder reflected in this particular song....in the beginning I think of a scene of a horror movie (filmed with sharp, handheld cameras a la Blair Witch Project), then after the 4-minute mark....it's all of a sudden a dimly lit, church-like atmosphere.... |
