| Mumford & Sons – Little Lion Man Lyrics

i dont believe that the way i interpreted this song is the way mumford and sons wanted me to, but i believe that music means different things to different people. to me this is about a man who is talking to a very good friend of his, a friend who obviously has love desires that he cant achieve. the man talking has love desires too, but he fulfills them. i think that the man singing the song had a romance with a woman that the "little lion man" (indicating that he still has the courage to walk through life despite his flaw) cared deeply for. the little lion man is very distraught and incredibly saddened, even though he has seen this all before. |

i dont know if simon and garfunkle were religous, but i think the song is a dream about dying and going to heaven, only to realize that heaven was an image conjured up by people to explain things they didn't know how to explain. |

| Yeah Yeah Yeahs – Zero Lyrics

i think this song is about the people who try to fit in with the "in" crowd, but have failed with every attempt. it's about a journey to being socially accepted that eventualy fails. "put your leather on" depicts the image of a gothic person. and being a zero could symbolize being a person who views themselves as someone who is bad at everything. "was it the cure? What's your name" shows that the attempt of trying to fit in didn't work (the name obviously being "zero").
