| September – Cry For You Lyrics | 15 years ago |

Here's how I look at this song. My last relationship lasted a little over a year. I was unhappy for a large part of it. The man I was with constantly talked about marrying me and having kids. To me, this relationship was just a fun thing I wasn't interested in any form of super commitment. So I decided to leave him. He didn't handle it well but in essence saw it coming. I think this song follows the same concept. I never had to say goodbye You must have known I wouldn't stay ^He saw it coming, perhaps went on the defense and didn't even give her the chance to say goodbye. While you were talking about our life You killed the beauty of today ^Talking about getting married and being in something long lasting in deep instead of just enjoying the time spent together in the present time instead of the future. Forever and ever Life is now or never Forever never comes around ^Perhaps the singer is like me, and wasn't in it for the whole forever thing and was more or less just there because it was fun. Life is now or never. Forever and ever Life is now or never Forever's gonna slow you down ^You keep living a lie and thinking everything lasts forever, you're going to be sadly disappointed and miss out on a lot of things that are happening right now. You'll never gonna see me again So now who's gonna cry for you You'll never gonna see me again No matter what you do ^Pretty much the chorus is just "Peace out dude i'm leaving" You never heard me break your heart You didn't wake up when we died ^I agree with the others, this part is definately talking about him not seeing when the relationship started going down the toilet. Perhaps choosing to be ignorant because he's blinded by something in the relationship he likes. Perhaps "bed talents". Since I was lonely from the start I think the end is mine to write ^Its her decision ultimately. And she's not going to sit and suffer and feel alone. This is a very bold line I think. Love this song to death. |

I dont pick up that this song is about the Christian "God". But perhaps that is why music is so wonderful. Everyone interprets it differently. I personally saw this as a love confession. He ignored her, despite the fact he knew she was in love with him. Then he finally realizes he's in love with her too and has to figure out how to confess to her and get her back. I only see it this way because it matches the novel I'm working on. Cheers! |
