In the verses i think it has multiple meanings. I think he is talking about drugs, and he wants to stop but can't. You can tell because in the chorus he talks about breaking away to higher places. In the verses he talks about he fills like a vampire and he just can't give it up. Talking about doing the drugs and not being able to give them up. But tonight he'll break away! |

Actually, Three Days Grace have actually interpreted this song in interviews. They say that the song has multiple meanings. And the two people that hagar is talking about do not hate each other. Listen to the words. You had the complete opposite meaning. You said they hate each other, but the truth is they hate everything about each other, yet still love each other. That means they don't like each other, but still love each other. A good example of this is a child not liking their parents. Many children hate everything about their parents, like the fact that they drink, or do bad things, yet the child still loves his parent and doesn't want to see them get hurt. This could be the same example used with any type of relationship. |
