I have lost all my grandparents except one. And my mom had 2 dads, 1 mom, and one step mom. My dad has one dad and one mom. And yet all I have is one left. So this song means a lot to me. Smallthoughts is sooooo right. It's about a couple who have died and left the earth, 'the road that they walk on is paved in gold' that's heavens walkway to the gates, 'its always summer they'll never get cold, they'll never get hungry, they'll never get old and gray' heaven doesn't have stuff like that. 'eternal' means immortal, meaning being spirits, 'their shadows wandering off somewhere' spirits going to heaven!
