The lyrics above is incomplete in which has great significance to the song. She changed the last chorus to: “And my world falls down And YOUR there calling out” This is my take on the song. Left of the middle means someone really close, a friend/ an ex. On the contrary “she” is always on his right side of the middle. Whenever “she” has a fight with her current boyfriend (“I got my ticket, and I got a straight road”), the friend/ex is the first person that she calls for comfort, and vice versa. The line “But it's something I can't say, Though it seems the only way, But it's a game that I can't play, Not today”. It’s the same lines/bullshit that “she” says to him over and over… Somewhere along the lines of “relationships aren’t always easy, your girlfriend is the one for you”. But truly, “she” loves him very much and he makes “her” happy. Again it goes back to the title of the song, whenever “she” hold (held) on his right hand she is always happy. |
