To me this song is about achieving a grand personal goal. But it's kind of mocking it somehow... I don't know, it's just like when he sings "best, you've got to be the best, you've got to change the world" the music makes me feel like it's more about the anxiety of not being the best and telling yourself that you HAVE TO be the Best. "Your hard times are ahead" also has a lot of anxiety in it. Not to mention "Don't let yourself down Don't let yourself go Your last chance has arrived" It's scary thoughts. In some situations they're true. |

When I listen to it I think that it's and the pride inside their eyes would synchronize into a love you've never known so much more than you've been shown not and the pride inside their eyes is synchronised to a love you'll never know so much more than you can show Which according to me changes the meaning of the song into something more... sad... |
