Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young – Love The One You're With Lyrics 15 years ago
The eagle stands for freedom... the dove is the bird of love. The eagle flying with the dove is symbolism for "free love" which was an overall theme of the late 60's and early 70's.

it's actually "Tuff", but the song is really about rodeo life in general.

She got you jumpin' off the track...

it should be jumpin' off the deck, i.e. the deck of an aircraft carrier.

Lynyrd Skynyrd – Sweet Home Alabama Lyrics 16 years ago
The "Southern Man" line heard right around 55 seconds in, is producer Al Kooper, not one of the band members, while they were messing around in the studio. He had actually planned to have other lines from Southern Man echoed after Ronnies lines, but they ultimately decided against it. It was decided to leave in the first "Southern Man", but very faint and in the left channel only.
