this song to me is completely about a relationship. the girl cheated on the guy, and generally just took him for granted, but for some reason the guy is so in love with her he'd be willing to forgive anything she did. for whatever reason, he's hung up on her. but she broke up with him, and yet is still kind of keeping him around, giving him hope, but not too much, that she'd wanna get back together. but he has such strong feelings for her still that he cant help himself, he'd do anything to get back with her, just to be around her, anything. but when he sees her moving on he, of course, gets pissed. obviously its not really the new guys fault, but it doesnt matter, the original guy isn't going to see her as doing anything wrong, or at least isnt gonna take his anger out on her cuz he loves her. the new guy had better watch out tho, because he's gonna get his ass beat. and then he asks "what is it you really want" because all she's really been doing is leading him on, keeping him around. he cant tell whether anything she says is real or not, he wants to believe, but in the end, he cant really trust everything she says. she says she still loves him, but wants to explore. the guy cant let go, he cant move on, how can he? he's still in love with one person, and when you feel that strong its not like u can just go get with sum random person, no one else will do. it's all a big confusing circle that he just cant get out of. by all logic he should hate the girl, but you cant hate someone you love. obviously this is comin from experience, and is more my view than anything else, but i feel like its definitely about exes, and the guy being into the girl after everything she did to him. cuz people are stupid, and we love the ones who ignore us, but ignore the ones that love us. just my thoughts |

to me it's about not wanting to believe that the person you love doesn't want to be with you anymore. it's about how no matter what you think or feel, some part of you just won't let you stop hoping. "no i don't believe you, when you say you don't need me anymore" it's about not wanting to believe, but being unsure anyway. My girlfriend just broke up with me. and staying up late thinking about it, accepting it, this song came on when i was watching a random music video channel. it kinda made me laugh, because i don't want to hope anymore, but how can I? ha, fate or whatever made this song come on is toying with me. anyway, sorry for the introspection there. good song, meaningful singing and lyrics, never give up on the things you love |

To me he's talking about a divorce, and a failed marriage. He still loves her the same, but he realizes that he's just not good for her. He's tried changing, but he just cant do it. He'll always love her, and that's why he's leaving, so she won't hurt anymore. Some people just can't change. they may try, they may put their heart into it, but sometimes you are who you are, and nothing can change that. To me that's what he's saying. He'll always love her, he wishes it could've lasted, but he'll do what he has to make her happy. |

Everyone has their own take on songs, thats music. but to me this is about, like alot of people said, a guy trying to get over a girl. but the difference is that to me, it was one of those romances where the guy couldn't help himself, he was just so deeply in love with the girl. Part of him knew she wasn't good for him, but the heart feels what it wants, and he went after he. he took a lot of crap from her, but still loved her. finally something sent him over the edge and he couldn't forgive her. and even though he loves her the same, she hurt him too much. and he couldn't be with her after that, so he just wants one more kiss, and then he's gone. he's tried to forget her through broken relationships, random hookups and a hazy life, but he just cant forget her. and this song is his realization of what is wrong, he just couldn't let her go. maybe he will always love her, but I think that his realization of whats wrong is going to help him fix himself, "it is time to let you go". thats what i'd hope at least. otherwise this is a damn depressing song. just my thoughts |

| today i almost died because of a car accident, my truck flipped and landed on the cab. i dont have a scratch on me. everyone has been telling me i am so lucky, and whats funny is that when this happened i was blaring this song pissed at my girlfriend. i dont know what this song means to anyone else, but i walked away from that crash without a mark on me, and this song has been going through my head all day. when i listen to it, i can see it all happening, but im not scared. i just remember, "All because of you, i believe in angels". i dont really believe in signs, but this was too weird. im giving her another chance, because i love her, and i think i found my angel. i also thought the title was ironic for today as well, "The good left undone" haha, im lucky to be alive | |
