I went to some shows at Frost Ampitheatre at Stanford in spring of 1985. The shows were amazing. I spent a little QT with Bobby... I was young and hot back then and so was he. Anyway I took waayyy too many mushrooms and this song always brings me back to those glory days. Ya gotta love Robert Hunter. I dig the cat and queen references. I dig the bay area. I dig my ex-bfs.... All of 'em. I hope they are all happy - wherever they all are. |

I've never heard this song but I read your comment and it reminded me of my life. Only thing is.... I was the one who broke my friendship off with my male friend in reality. I stayed away from him for MONTHS. I guess you could say I left him high and dry. Then my old friend threaded me into this effed up cyber situation to inform me that he is gay. He is dating Captain Kangaroo's evil (and much shorter) twin. I am completely happy for him and now I understand his marriage and his life.
Neither one of us wants the other back.
I just hope I will have been their only cyber-stalking victim. Who needs weird phone calls and crazy items shipped to your home all from logging on to an anonymous web-site? These people never had my phone number and my address. How does that work? |
