I feel like this song is about a girl he loved who goes somewhere far away and they attempt to keep a long distance relationship. He states how she slowly takes longer to reply and how she talks about all these new people she means and bars she goes to and how he pretends to care but in reality feels threatened. She meets some guy who's gained interest into her and becomes jealous and counts down the day till he fly out to meet her. He starts losing faith in the relationship. Amazing song that resonates especially with me. Two of the best lines are: "Absence makes the heart grow fonder Fondness makes the absence longer" and "We are beautiful, We are doomed." I think at this point he refers to "we" = their relationship JUST A THOUGHT :) |
