these lines should read as "Their unfulfilled lives of marriages, mortgages Maybe I am becoming too marginalized." "I believe in a suburban heaven Blissfully, ignorant" |

Absolutely agree with ExoM7. That happens to be my favorite verse from the song along with: And when we're middle aged, You tell me I loved you like a renegade And how I say the things that make you sway. And mostly I tell you you did the same. It's such a perfect song about a relationship that means a lot but isn't perfect. Sometimes, people are fooled into thinking that two people in a serious relationship should never have disagreements are spats but this song helps (me) realize that not every relationship is perfect. Seldom are they as perfect as we'd like them to be. It's nice to have the hope of knowing that yours and your significant others heart beats can and most likely will fall back in line. Haha cheesy but very true. Simple, meaningful and quaint. My favorite song off the album with Four Night Rider coming in second. /novel |

I definitely agree. He does the same in Summer Butcher Two and makes it an absolutely beautiful song. The new album has taken time for me to really appreciate and like. I definitely enjoy it though especially this song. |

as we hit the front door all the clothes hit the floor I love these lyrics best. It's two lovers who just can't stay away but it's not some primal need either it's love. That's the best part of the song. This song is definitely one of my two favorites. The other being In the Summertime. |

And I think also in the first verse it's: "Holding on to power lines I asked..." I think he's watching the world from the power line and is commenting on how time passes and he can observe how we "wander." Then again I'm just probably making it all up. Still love the song. Haha. |

And below the blackened sky I asked For them to wander as I might High above I saw the stars at night Move in minutes if your patience asks And oh, How the day does pull away Ever faster I think it says "pull" as opposed to "blow" and I'm still debating whether it's blackest or blackened. I think this is what the last verse says though. Love this song one of my favorites from the album. |

I agree with you on everything but the translation for this bit is as follows: Yo te quiero si vienes o si vas si subes y bajas y no estas seguro de lo que sientes I love you if you come and go if you go up and down and are't sure of what you feel. So you're correct, she loves him regardless of his ups and downs and she doesn't feel there needs to be changes in his character. That last line however, isn't saying "I'm sure you feel the same" but basicall I love you even if you don't know what you're feeling. Definitely, one of my favorite songs by her and I love the message. |
