You know what I see in this? Not based off the video, at all. As in, I'm not thinking of the video when I interpret this, but instead look at the lyrics as poetry. It starts off (Hold on - slow down) with someone contemplating suicide, and a friend begging them not to. The next verse (Wings won't take me) would be the one who wants to commit suicide saying "You can stop me, I'm going to do this." The chorus (Standing on the rooftop) is describing the over-coming need for him to kill himself, convincing himself that its what he wants to do. The next verse though (Perpetual motion), is him realizing that its not the right option, that it's a stupid move, and that he shouldn't do it, and he doesn't. |

The song is very clearly about how some times in life the only option is to give up and surrender. The first verse is about What's going on that's causing death. In a sense this is backing up the main idea. The chorus is about simply the surrender and telling to do it. The Rest of the song is basicly continuing with the part Verse 1 was explaning |

| You need to really think about a song... not just watch the video. The music video itself can often have nothing to do with the song. It can sometimes... but you need to listen to the Lyrics and music too. Really dude. Besides that Even it was about that You'd be able to tell by listening to the music. If you had never watched the video (I personally don't like too),You would have a totally diffrent idea for the song meaning. Only reason I'm not saying you're stupid is because it's a common human mistake.Plus WW2 Does involve death, Which is a major factor in the song. | |

I totally agree with you. The Bridge seems to me like it's talking about how the dude is dead and how everyone is trying to get a hold of them selfs. How the world seems empty and they're searching for something to fix that. Atleast that's what I think. I wouldn't know my self :P |
