I agree. I personally don't like the version with Kanye West. I feel like that version might actually portray something negative, even if that wasn't the intention. However, in this version, analyzing this song from a general female perspective and not from any artist intended meanings, I feel like this song is about a woman who is in a very deep love with a man. Everything about him is so different and someone shes never experienced. Referring to him as an alien, angel, demon and saying he had different DNA and from a different world is just a metaphor for how different he is from every other man shes ever known. I don't think the parts about being taken, abducted, or being a victim should be taken seriously. Again, I think it's just a metaphor for saying that she wants to experience him in every way possible. Also, it could be a sexual reference or metaphor for wanting him to be the more dominant person. Some women like the man to be more dominant during sex while some like it the other way around. Same with me. |
