And of course to add on lol, the first paragraphs about how he can go, knife, rope, or lemon (crappy car), he already got scared out of jumping, he chooses the rope. i think his dad was his only one and know he's got God or something as his new only one.
Actually..maybe its not about his dad..it could be about someone else, who he admired who commited suicide. I don't know. Maybe that person was his king. Maybe its a crazy fan obsessing over Elvis? I dunno lol. Its possible.
I love the fun dark lyrics style, reminds me of the dead kennedys or alkaline trio. |

I personally think this song is about the death of the singer's father. He was his king and maybe with being in a band and all the singer wasn't with his dad while he died, thus the guilt weighing down his arms for devoting his life to art. Maybe in the song he feels like commiting suicide for not being there for his father and he feels like thats the way he can make himself a king, like his dad. |

To me this songs about how the world relies on Los Angeles for all the media it gives us and how if Los Angeles ever burns, everyone will freak out and ask "How can hell be any worse?" It's also definitly about how the news blows stuff out of proportion and how while the land of media dies, the media will be on the job to show us the biased footage. Its a media cycle. |
