My great grandfather was an exceptional man. Basically, he was a living saint. We played this at his funeral and it just sums everything about him and everything we feel. Everytime I listen to this, I get the chills and I just can't help but smile... They played it at my great grandmother's funeral too...we didn't ask for them to play it..but I kinda feel like when they played that it was a symbolization of them meeting again...somewhere somehow. I miss them both so much. |

To me, I imagine this song about the regret of not taking someone serious about their problems or their emotions, no matter who. But to me it's like...people will talk about you, watch you fall down, watch you pick yourself up...but they never bother to help you out, they never bother to really know what you're going through or try to make sense of your problems...they'll just watch you suffer. But the ones we could've helped out we always have the thoughts of "should've could've would've"...but regardless of interpretations we have I believe we can all agree this is definitely one of the best songs ever recorded/written. |
